The Vlogs rock! I’m looking forward to the book!! How do you make your final pages look so clean. When ever I do scans of my vellum drawings, there’s allways a cloud around everything. Do you clean your pages up in Photoshop, or something?
Rob. working the 9 to 5 and creating a graphic novel at night is VERY sad. i do it too. it’s great to hear thatt i don’t suffer alone. my circle of friends HATE the fact that i’m a hermit and give me shit. but ooooh do they love seeing the art. i pray you get nominated for an award. harvey, eisner, and even an oscar.you deserve it. see you in san diego.
HA! You told me you weren’t going to the Con! This is sweet, now I’m gonna give you my book. Consider it a trade for one of those sweet ass posters I’ll be getting from you!
Damn… I love listening to people’s creative processes.
I want to go to ComiCon. What day(s) are you (thinking of) going? I might be able to make a single day trip. How fucking cool would it be to meet this guy!? Damn your work ethic, too. You make me look like shit. Hahhaha. Is there a Comic Union?
Completist question: I have all the original printings of each issue, a couple copies of each trade, etc., etc. of Scud, but I was wondering if ANYone knew exactly how many printings each there were of each of the trades. I know of at least two printings of vol. 1 (black background/red background), two of vol. 2 (black/purple(with tattoo)); I would assume there are no more than one each of the last two. The second printing of at least the first volume had different “letters” pages and some sketch art, I believe, so I was just wondering if anyone had an exact count on how many printings of each existed so I can obsessively complete my collection. Also, how many reprints were there of issue #1? Was it three? One black & white and two color? Anyway, sorry this is so long. Rob, the pages are looking AMAZING, and I can hardly wait to see it all complete. Thanks again and good luck!
Wow. This guy, Ethan, above me- he really wants to complete his collection…you should hurry up or he might throw a burrito at someone.
I check this damn site everyday at work (good for me) and eventhough I was overjoyed to see a new post (especially a V-log!) I have decided to be the negative Nancy:
Hey Rob! Does it sort of piss you off that the people at the Sarah Silverman show are using your fanbase to promote her show? Are they wringing their grubby little talentless hands over the comic book market potential of a Comic Con appearance?.........Rob, are you wringing your hands with them….?
Whatever.
What do I have to do to get a poster?
I hope you’re not trying to say that Scud is more of a draw than Sarah Silverman. Because I’d regretfully have to tell you it isn’t. Posters will be given out at the comic con.
Did that guy really just imply that Steve Agee, Brian Posen and Sarah Silverman are talentless? I’m not sure what world that guy lives in but I’m sure it doesn’t involve vaginas in any way that isn’t sad or pathetic or creepy…
I have now decide I am going to comic-con because of YOU. You are an inspiration to anyone who hasn’t completed something yet in the end, pushes on to FINISH IT.
I am sad to hear that LCN won’t be completed after your 60 or 70 plus pages, but I hope you do END it sometime after. (Hopefully less than 10 years if ever) Whenever me and my friends see the bumper sticker “What would Tony Soprano do?” We always switched Soprano with Tastey. I personally always wanted to see Tony go crazy and kill everyone or die trying.
That’s true. I did not think of Sarah’s male fan base.
The “talentless” are the ones controlling the money and distribution NOT Steve Agee the Lifetime Achievement recipient.
Maybe I could write off a trip to Comic-Con so I could get a poster…..AND escape my pathetic, creepy, sad vagina filled world if only for a couple days.
DOn’t worry, we all know you are one busy man, so just keep at it and don’t drive yourself crazy. But to have the book by this year would definitely be appreciated.
Looking forward to it! And I hope Kate appreciated your comment!! o.O

I remember when I walked in with my PJ’s on nad you said the same thing…you are so cheeky.
I;m so glad to hear you’ve decided to go to comic-con. I’ll be in the image booth line for sure.

Hey, anyone want to go visit hookers in Tijuana while they’re in San Diego?

It’s cool to be a robot.
I figger I can scrounge up the dough for a comic-con ticket if you and sarah are going to be doing a panel. But yeah, what day are you gonna be there?
Did you make that lightbox? It looks likee it’s filled with Christmas tree lights.

What kind of vagina filled world is sad?
Maybe the vaginas are sad?
Take as long as you need Rob, we all know it will be worth it when the new book drops.
Page 70.
Love the VLogs Rob! Thanks!
